Happy Bottoms – Happy Hour Tour

Tess Koppelman is a member of the board of directors of HappyBottoms, Kansas City’s Diaper Bank. HappyBottoms provides diapers for families in need here in our community. Even though they are a basic need for babies and kids, no public assistance programs (like SNAP or WIC) cover the cost of diapers.

Families in our community sometimes have to choose between paying bills or buying diapers. If a family cannot afford diapers, a baby will spend extended periods, sometimes days in the same soiled diapers. This increases the risk of numerous health problems, including diaper rash, and may be linked to an increased rate of hepatitis while also causing stress and sometimes depression for the care-giver.

I would like to invite you to join us for a special tour and Happy Hour event here at the HappyBottoms warehouse to show you a little bit more about what we do and how we do it. It will take place during Diaper Need Awareness Week on September 11th from 5:30 to 7:30. We are located at 14820 W. 107th Street in Lenexa.

We look forward to sharing more about what Diaper Need Awareness Week is and why it is important. Feel free to invite a friend.

Please R.S.V.P. to Tess at tekoppelman@gmail.com or by sending an email to us (events@happybottoms.org) by September 4th.  I hope you can come join us for a glass of wine, a few appetizers and a quick tour.
